JP Korsteel Stainless Steel Jointed 3 Ring Dutch Gag Bit

We love the JP Korsteel Stainless Steel Jointed 3 Ring Dutch Gag because the design of the curved bars prevents the bit from hitting the roof of the horse's mouth and eliminates the nutcracker-like action that can pinch a horse's tongue. This Dutch gag consists of 3 rings: the top one where the cheekpieces attach, and then 2 lower rings offering a variety of rein settings depending on how strong the rider needs the curb action to be. These are strong bits, typically used to encourage the horse to be lighter in front.  

Curved bit to reduce the "nutcracker" action and to alleviate pressure on the tongue and bars of the mouth. Prevents contact with the roof of the horse's mouth. Allows for effective communication between horse and rider whilst encouraging relaxation and salivation. Provides the rider with varying levels of leverage and poll pressure depending on the needs of the horse, with the lower ring providing the most leverage.
