The quarter moon link provides extra room for the horse’s tongue which provides additional comfort for sensitive horses. The full cheek assists with turning by applying pressure on the cheeks. The copper quarter moon encourages salivation and the horse to accept the bit. The double-jointed mouthpiece avoids the nutcracker action of a single joint, preventing the bit from hitting the roof of the mouth and gives the rider independent control over each side of the mouth.
